Joon is an interior designer and healthy materials advocate who believes the most beautiful spaces are also the most responsible ones. Based in San Francisco, she brings over five years of experience across workplace, civic, healthcare, education, residential, and performing arts design alongside deep expertise in healthy materials and sustainable specification.

She has led research into forced labor in building material supply chains, embodied carbon of interior finishes, and the health impacts of recycled carpet in collaboration with HGA, BWBR, and MSR Design, and presented at EDRA, AIA Minnesota, and Habitable.

Beyond practice, Joon founded the IIDA Northland Stewardship Committee, the chapter’s first sustainability-focused group, and serves as an Emerging Leader on Habitable’s Board of Directors, building the community infrastructure that raises standards across the built environment profession.
